Biography:
Dr. Shoukat Parvez completed his Ph.D. in 1987 in the field of Applied Microbiology/Biotechnology at the Institute of Microbiology, Prague, Czech Republic, under the UNESCO fellowship program. He subsequently undertook postdoctoral studies at several internationally recognized institutions, including the Institute of Oriental Medicine, Kyung-Hee University, Seoul, South Korea; King Mongkut’s University and the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Bangkok, Thailand; and the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), Trieste, Italy, supported by the UNIDO/ICGEB fellowship. Dr. Parvez has published more than 50 scientific papers and holds eight registered patents. He brings over 40 years of extensive research and development experience in microbiology and biotechnology.
