Biography:
Giuseppinella Melita is an Associate Professor of General Surgery at the University of Messina, she works at the Oncologic Endoscopy Unit at the University Hospital of Messina with a deep experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Her clinical and academic work focuses on advanced endoscopic management in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), with expertise in chronic inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. She plays an important role in the endoscopic care of pediatric IBD patients as well as adults and is actively involved in the management of emergencies and complications related to these conditions.
